An ordinary and practical nightstand by some measures. To add interest and complexity, the front face is formed with a slight bow. For the cherry structural elements this is a simply a matter of cutting and smoothing the pieces. The bubinga doors and drawer front are more challenging. Each is made from a set of shop sawn plies pressed and glued over a form in a vacuum press.
The red tones of the cherry and bubinga complement each other. The hand shaped wenge handles add contrast. The drawer features hand sawn dovetails.
