This clock was a labor of love. Using a full scale cardboard mock-up before I began construction, I modified the proportions numerous times. Even after all that, I made two versions of the dial opening. To me this piece marks the waning of the love for the analog and the mechanical. A traditional clock is like a car from the 1960's, in that it reminds us of a different generation. The movement alone is a work of art and I truly appreciate that it is still manufactured in our mile-a-minute world.
A traditional tall case clock with Craftsman styling and an 8-day Kieninger movement. The case is built with walnut and features an interior panel of spalted maple bordered by curly sycamore.
